Dr. Avery Gillick is a distinguished veterinarian, business leader, educator with over five decades of experience in veterinary medicine and is presently based in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Gillick has founded, developed and built several general practice hospitals as well as referral clinics, including the Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital (a multispecialty referral and emergency hospital) and also oversaw the construction , expansion and relocation of the Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Gillick has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and business acumen in veterinary medicine. He has also been involved in several academic and professional organizations, including the Ontario Veterinary College (Deans Advisory Board), Toronto Police Dog Services (Veterinarian and Consultant), Metro Toronto Zoo (Director and Member of Board), Canadian Veterinary Journal (Assistant Editor), Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (Director) and the Ontario Veterinary Association (Past President).
